The Harry Packer Mansion Inn

My husband and I stayed this past weekend (October 3rd - 5th) and absolutely loved it! The staff and owners are absolutely wonderful! They all made us feel very welcome. The entire mansion is spotless and the breakfast was fantastic! They answered all the questions we had, even the dumb ones. You can tell they really love owning this beautiful one of a kind bed & breakfast. We can't wait to stay again! I'm also looking forward to bringing my mom for one of the Murder Mystery weekends.

Absolutely stunning historic mansion An unreal home here in Jim Thrope PA! Very beautiful (even the stain glass!) A must see if you’re in the area and love historic homes! Friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Cathy, the owner, was fantastic and clearly cares about not only the history of the mansion but the stay of her guests as well. Naomi, our attendant was an absolute treasure during our nights there and was always "there" but never came off as "hovering" or pushy. She just magically appeared the moment we needed anything. The location is fantastic, up and above the bustle of the town below. Will absolutely be staying here regularly.

My wife and I spent a great weekend at The Harry Packer Mansion in Jim Thorpe, PA. 2/6/26 - 2/8-26. From my first steps through the door to the moment I left the grounds, the staff were welcoming and warm and genuinely glad to see you. The owners, Cathy and Tom, were on site at check in to personally welcome us to the inn. The staff is comprised of two very hard working ladies, Naomi and Abbi, who are always around for whatever guests may need and always with a genuine smile or laugh. There is a bar/lounge where Naomi does an awesome job as you're bartender for the evening. The food was really good, and for our weekend we enjoyed 2 buffet style breakfasts and a buffet style ,dinner which was had in the midst of the murder mystery. Its a 1920s era mansion that is just awesome to live in for a couple days and enjoy the atmosphere. We made some real good friends and did some shopping at the cool shops on Broadway down the block. Will absolutely be back. Wonderful wonderful place

We had an amazing time staying at the mansion this August. We stayed in the carriage house, and accommodations were very nice and cozy. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and eating on the porch was one of the highlights of the trip. The staff were so kind and made us feel at home. The Murder Mystery night was an absolute blast!! So close to historic Jim Thorpe/Mauch Chunk. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you Maddie, Naomi, and Abbi, for your hospitality!

We attended the dinner and murder mystery show, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The buffet-style dinner was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options to satisfy different dietary preferences and needs. The murder mystery show was wildly entertaining. The actors were talented, witty, and fully committed to their roles, making the whole evening so much fun. Even better, they stuck around after the show for casual, friendly interactions, which added a personal touch you don’t often find. The staff were all incredibly kind and accommodating, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening. And the setting? Simply magical. The mansion and its grounds feel like a blend of Hogwarts and Little Switzerland—a truly enchanting backdrop that adds to the whole immersive experience. If you're looking for a unique night out filled with great food, engaging entertainment, and stunning views, we highly recommend the Harry Packer Mansion. A perfect mix of mystery, charm, and fun!

We stayed in the Lindermans room. The queen sized bed felt small but the high quality linens and great pillows more than made up for the size. The room was authentic with Victorian era furnishings. You wont find outlets, on either side of the bed, but a small charging station is located on the dresser. The bathroom is bare bones. Tiny toilet, tiny shower. The shower pan does not feel glued down and the caulk on at least one wall of the shower could use a refresh. It is a comfortable room, with a stellar view and I would stay here again. The Mansion, as a whole is lovely and the owners and caretakers are top notch. The staff will bend over backwards to be accommodating. By the end of the weekend everyone feels like an old friend. We attended the Murder mystery dinner and had a ball. This is an interactive experience with a seasoned group of actors from NY. They are fully immersed and you can participate/ or not, as much as you'd like. This was our first visit and we loved every minute of it. My husband has already made another reservation for our Anniversary.

A really awesome place. We had a great time and everyone was friendly. The service was excellent. The location is quiet and peaceful, but still just a short drive from town. We stayed in the Annie Room and it was great. Even though it’s a historic mansion, there were plenty of outlets and the WiFi worked well. Breakfast was good too. We’ll definitely be back.
